OVERVIEW : This course is designed to build a strong foundation for mastering the technique of abacus for mental math.The abacus is a calculating tool that has been in use since ancient times and is still in use today. In human brain Math skills is limited to the area of the left brain responsible for logic languages. However, abacus arithmetic stimulates the visual, auditory and tactile without exception and actively helps the development of the right brain responsible for the artistic and sensory abilities as well as the left brain. These techniques that can be applied to solve problems mentally across numbers big and small, and across vast range of problems – from basic operations of addition, subtration to multiplication and divison. They help develop new ways to think outside the box and the students can perform calculations without pen and paper.
