WHO WE ARE
The word ‘Desi’ derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Desh’, which means country. Desi are those people belonging to their roots and culture, specifically from the Indian subcontinent and its diaspora. Desi countries chiefly include North India and Pakistan and sometimes, Nepal, Bangladesh, Maldives & Sri Lanka. There are large Desi populations in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, South Africa, Malaysia, Mauritius, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Guyana, Fiji, Australia, Trinidad and Tobago, the Middle East and among regions.
HOW IT WORKS
DesiClasses provides an online platform for its students to connect, discover, experience and learn about the rich diversity that Indian subcontinent has to offer to the world. The platform offers a variety of courses to choose from, such as Indian languages, Yoga, Vedic Mathematics (Mental Math), Indian Arts – Music, Dance, Instruments, Indian history and culture. These courses are offered through Live Classes to small batches of students. It allows the students to have a personalized interactive experience to engage and learn about their roots by our passionate and experienced tutors.

The vision is to bring the opportunity to the Desi Diaspora, specially the 2nd and 3rd generation living abroad and trying to be connected with their roots and enrich their knowledge through learning languages, arts, dance, music, history and culinary skills.
