Founder Smt. Suganda Sreenath Iyer comes from a family of musicians and dancers and has over four decades of teaching experience.
Jayendra Kalakendra is a long-established Bharatanatyam school serving the San Francisco Bay Area, teaching classical dance technique (adavus), theory, and yoga. The school has graduated more than 100 students through their Arangetram solo debut and stages major group productions, and it offers classes online to students worldwide. Instruction is rooted in a multi-generational family tradition of music and dance.
