The New Jersey wing of the Mumbai-based Soundarya Natya Kalalaya, teaching the traditional style of Bharatanatyam together with dance theory drawn from the Natyashastra and preparing students for government-recognized examinations. New Jersey classes are led by artistic director Gomathi Manoj. The parent institution has taught Bharatanatyam since 1980.
